Tazewell County Republican Central Committee Officers

Demetra DeMonte, Chairman Tazewell County Republican Party. Elected in May of 2004 she is the first woman to hold the chairmanship. As vice-chairman she co-chaired the Lincoln Day Dinner into a major event. In 2000 she was chairman of a political event for Bush involving over a thousand women supporters. As County Chairman, Demetra is working to energize the Tazewell County Republican political structure. Demetra lives with her husband Dr. Anthony DeMonte, an orthodontist in Pekin. They have two children, Alexandra studying for her doctorate in History and Elizabeth a sophomore undergraduate. mailto:ademonte@grics.net

Lowell Schroeder, Vice Chairman. Lowell, from Morton Illinois has been a precinct committeeman for several years in Morton. Active on the committees for Lincoln Day Dinner and Festival in The Vineyard . He supervises the, computer database, web page and computer programs. Don Gronewold, Treasurer. Don from Washington Illinois where he is active as a precinct committeeman and area coordinator. Don former mayor and local businessman has long been active in Tazewell County politics. A pharmacist by profession he makes his home with his wife of 45 years in Washington.

Dave Zimmerman, Secretary. Dave long active in Tazewell County politics is currently a member of the County Board, precinct committeeman and area coordinator for Morton. Dave lives with his wife Cindy and their four children in Morton. mailto:dczimmerman@insightbb.com
