Meet the Tazewell County Republican 2024 Area High School Scholarship Winners!

These students, one male and one female, were selected from many who applied to each receive a $1000 scholarship which can be used for post high school education (tuition and/or books).  Applicants were required to submit an application with letters of recommendation and needed to illustrate how they met and exceeded academic excellence as well as participated in extracurricular activities either inside or outside of their respective schools.  Applicants were also required to articulate an opinion regarding a topic of government; Why The Electoral College Is Needed.

The Tazewell County Republican Scholarship Selection Committee recieved numerous applications from around Tazewell County and were thoroughly impressed by all applicants.  A heartfelt thank you to the committee, Senator Sally Turner, Representative Dennis Tipsword and County Board District 1 Chair Jody Baker for their hard work in making this difficult selection and to all the area high school Seniors who submitted applications for these scholarships.
