The Tazewell County Republicans proudly awarded two $1000 scholarships to Tazewell County area high school seniors in April of 2026.  We received numerous applicants who competed on grade point average, extra-curricular activities including in-school and community service, references and an essay on what they feel was the most important event which shaped our country (other than signing of the Declaration of Independence).  Our female winner attends high school at Peoria Christian and plans on attending Grace College in Indiana and our male winner attends Pekin Community High School and is in the process of selecting where he will attend post-high school education.

Unfortunately, due to the disgraceful and reprehensible acts of many on the liberal left who find a need to harass all associated with the Republican Party, we have opted to not name our winners.  It is shameful because we would love to introduce these two youths to you!  They are fine citizens who we have been privileged to meet and award these scholarships to.  

The Tazewell County Republicans congratulate these two scholarship winners and their parents, and we wish them luck in their future endeavors.
