You are invited to a Candidate Forum including a panel discussion between the Republican candidates for 87th District of the Illinois General Assembly House.  The candidates are Mary Burress and Bill Hauter.

Other Tazewell County Republican forums are the April 25th Gubernatorial Candidate Forum TazewellGOP.org/forum and the May 10th Tazewell County Treasurer forum TazewellGOP.org/treasurer_forum.

The 2022 General Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, June 28.  In all, there are 77 Republicans seeking 41 public offices on Tazewell County ballots.  22 of those Republicans are running uncontested in the primaries.  In Tazewell County, primaries are crucial since only 12 Democrats will challenge the 41 Republican primary winners in the November 8 general election.

Because primaries are so crucial, the Tazewell County Republicans are sponsoring this Candidate Forum.  We are committed to helping voters in Tazewell County make informed voting decisions.  This event will enable voters to hear for themselves the candidates’ reason they believe they should be elected and answer questions on issues relevant to the office they are seeking.

The moderator of the panel discussion, Dean Kaisner, will include some written questions from the audience.

This forum is open to the public with no cost of admission.  RSVPs are not required, but are appreciated.
