4th Call-to-Action - Petition to SAY NO to Defunding the Police

As absurd as the idea is, Democrat politicians are discussing defunding or dismantling the police in major U.S. cities.  Add your name to the list of people who know how much misery this idea will cause.

SAY NO to Defunding the Police

3rd Call-to-Action - Support Legislation to Safely Reopen Illinois

Senator Bill Brady introduced legislation to establish safe place of business protocols so businesses can open.

Safe Protocols - Disaster

It is time to let the legislature know what we are for.  It’s not enough to demand that bad policy is defeated.

In this legislation, the Illinois Department of Health is required to establish safe place of business protocols on or before May 30, 2020 and to regulate businesses that reopen following the expiration of the specified executive orders or disaster proclamations.  Businesses that comply with the protocols may reopen and rehire staff at their discretion as soon as is practical.  The legislation also requires General Assembly action before the Governor can extend a declaration or make further proclamations regarding the same disaster.

2nd Call-to-Action - Repealed IDPH Rules May be in New Legislation

On May 18, we asked for emails and phone calls to Illinois General Assembly members of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR) to stop a rule change submitted by Governor Pritzker on May 15. Your response to this call-to-action caused the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) to repeal that rule change.

We won that one!

However, the Governor has stated that what he couldn't get done by a back door administrative move will be done by legislation.  When we see the bill, we'll address whatever problems are in that bill.

In the meantime, it wouldn't hurt to let the Democrat Representatives know we will not accept bad policy in legislation that we did not accept in the IDPH rule change.

Do something to get Illinois open. This is overblown fear mongering. Keep downstate Illinois separate from Chicago
