Call to Action - Sen. Durbin and Duckworth should oppose the Equality Act

This call-to-action is related to Washington DC.  Let the U.S. Senate know how you feel.

On Thursday, February 25, 2021, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H. R. 5 – The Equality Act – An act to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation, and for other purposes.

This is a bill which intentionally deceives the American public, is based on nothing but lies and myth and should never see the light of day.

Please call Sen. Dick Durbin (202) 224-2152 and Sen. Tammy Duckworth (202) 224-2854 to let them know how deeply opposed to this bill you are and to insist they vote to oppose this. Please contact them today! If you are not from Illinois, please call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and ask for your Senators' office.

Key Takeaways:

  • Every person should be treated with dignity, and no one should face discrimination. But the Equality Act makes discrimination the law of the land.
  • The so-called Equality Act is anything but. It would give government the power to dictate how Americans think and act regarding gender and sex.
  • This bill violates Americans’ constitutional freedoms and weaponizes civil rights law to punish those who do not hold the “correct” beliefs.

The Heritage Foundations examination of the bill is at “11 Myths about HR 5 The Equality Act”.

By the way, this is that bill that would allow biological males to compete in girl's sports.
