You are invited to a Candidate Forum including a panel discussion between the Republican candidates for Tazewell County Auditor and between the candidates for District 2 of the Tazewell County Board.
The 2020 General Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, March 17. In all, there are 32 Republicans seeking 27 public offices on Tazewell County ballots. 18 of those Republicans, including President Donald J. Trump and Rep. Darin LaHood, are running uncontested in the primaries. In Tazewell County, primaries are crucial since only 10 Democrats will challenge the 27 Republican primary winners in the November 3 general election.
Because primaries are so crucial, the Tazewell County Republicans and the Morton Tea Party are co-sponsoring this Candidate Forum. Both organizations are committed to helping voters in Tazewell County make informed voting decisions. This event will enable voters to hear for themselves the candidates’ reason they believe they should be elected and answer questions on issues relevant to the office they are seeking.
For Tazewell County Auditor, the incumbent candidate is Shelly Hranka and the challenger is Brett Grimm.
For Tazewell County Board District 2, 4 board members will be elected. Incumbent candidates are Mindy Darcy, Carroll Imig, and Greg Sinn. New candidates are William E. Hauter and Kevin Moody.
The moderator of the panel discussion, Dean Kaisner, will include some written questions from the audience.
This forum is open to the public with no cost of admission. RSVPs are not required, but are appreciated.

We hope to see you at Freedom Hall. "Politics is too important to be left for someone else." (Senator Everett McKinley Dirksen)
