Election Judge

Another way for Tazewell County voters to get involved is becoming an election judge.

Election Judges

Serving as an Election Judge is a paid position for every election.  The security of the Vote begins with these individuals.  All of us should be thankful for the individuals who take on this responsibility despite the long hours.

The Tazewell County Clerk is the election authority for the county' voting precincts and has complete responsibility for election judges.  Tazewell County Republicans does have a responsibility to help recruit election judges.

The Illinois State Board of Elections has a document describing election judges.  Download Document (.pdf download)

The Illinois State Board of Elections also has an overview of election judges in tri-fold handout.  Download Tri-Fold (.pdf download)

The Tazewell County Clerk's office has an April 4, 2022 video of election judge training. 2022 Election Judge Training
