You are invited to a Candidate Forum including a panel discussion between the Republican candidates for Tazewell County Auditor and between the candidates for District 2 and District 3 of the Tazewell County Board.
The 2024 General Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, March 19. In all, there are 46 Republicans seeking 23 public offices on Tazewell County ballots. 17 of those Republicans, including Rep. Darin LaHood, are running uncontested in the primaries. In Tazewell County, primaries are crucial since only 4 Democrats will challenge the 23 Republican primary winners in the November 8 general election.
Because primaries are so crucial, Tazewell County Republicans is sponsoring this Candidate Forum. We are committed to helping voters in Tazewell County make informed voting decisions. This event will enable voters to hear for themselves the candidates’ reason why they believe they should be elected and to answer questions on issues relevant to the office they are seeking.

- For Tazewell County Board District 2, 3 board members will be elected. Jonathan Hopkins, Karl E. Lutz, Eric Stahl, and Cathryn Stump are competing for the 3 open seats.
