WIN2020 Picnic and Election Rally

WIN2020 Picnic & Election Rally

Tazewell County Republicans Trolley

What could be better than to spend an evening with like-minded people, in a family friendly outside venue, helping elect Republican candidates from Illinois?

Tazewell County Republicans invite you, your family and your friends to our WIN2020 Picnic and Election Rally at the Mackinaw Valley Vineyard on August 9.

Our 2020 gatherings have been disrupted due to Stay-at-Home orders here in Illinois. Parades, festivals and our 2020 Lincoln Day Dinner have all been cancelled.  Our only major event this year was the February 18 Candidate Forum leading up the U.S. Senate Primary election.  Since one-on-one conversations we’ve had with voters revealed huge enthusiasm for the November 3 election, we wanted to get the gang back together so that our county, state and country can WIN in 2020.

Mackinaw Valley Vineyard, Ltd. has agreed to host a private event for Tazewell County Republicans.  The vineyard is open and has social distancing accommodations approved for large outdoor gatherings.  The Tasting Room is considered indoors per the governor’s Phase 4 executive order, and we ask that you wear masks there.  However, since the vineyard’s lawn, porches and pavilion are outdoors, attendees will have little difficulty complying with social distancing recommendations without masks.

BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIRS.  Some lawn games will be available.

During the 3-hour celebration, we’ll have several, short program segments for welcoming remarks and short remarks from top Republican candidates representing Tazewell County.  Mark Curran, Esther Joy King, Darin LaHood, Mary Burress, Keith Sommer, Tim Butler and Mark Luft are all in must WIN2020 elections.

Yes, it is a fundraiser, so we’ll have a silent auction, a live auction, additional deserts, and campaign signs/hats/bumper stickers/etc.

The silent auction will include items valued between $30 and $300.  In addition, we have live auction items with amazing historical significance.  We do ask that you bring your checkbook as credit card processing will be limited.

Admission is $15/person, $5 for children ages 3-10, and free for children less than 3 years old.  Admission includes a pulled pork sandwich, chips and desert.  Drinks are not included in the price of admission but will be for sale by Mackinaw Valley Vineyard.

Rain or Shine, the picnic will take place.

Please RSVP by Wednesday, July 29.

Advance RSVPs are really important for two reasons.  First, we need to order the right amount of food.  Second, and possibly more important, since the vineyard is in a very rural setting, internet access in very limited.

You can RSVP by mail, also by Wednesday, July 29:
