Governor JB Pritzker Extending Stay at Home to May 30

In the most generous interpretation of Illinois Law (20 ILCS 3035), Governor Pritzker has the authority to order “… all Illinois citizens to stay at home …”, and (20 ILCS 2305) Dr. Ngozi Ezike has the authority to  order “… all businesses and operations in the state, …., are required to cease all activities, …”

Governor Pritzker’s authority is only good for 30 days.  That authority expired on April 19.  Dr. Ezike’s authority is good for 48 hours without consent by the business owner or with a court order.  That authority expired on March 22.

Do you agree that Illinois Law does not authorize Governor JB Pritzker to extend his Executive Order requiring Illinois citizens to stay at home until May 30?
