Tazewell County is honored to have three Medal of Honor recipients, all three recognized for their heroic actions during the Battle of Vicksburg.

This event will also honor Tazewell County Civil War Veterans and Medal of Honor Recipients John Ayers and William Reed, whom are buried outside of Illinois.
